Ultrasonic Testing

Ultrasonic testing (UT) is a type of non-destructive testing (NDT) technique that uses high-frequency sound waves to evaluate materials and components for defects. It is a very versatile technique that can be used to detect a wide range of flaws, including cracks, voids, delaminations, and inclusions.

Magnetic partial impaction

Magnetic partial impaction could describe a magnet weakly stuck, or a magnetic flow partially blocked.

Partial Material Identification

Partial Material Identification analyzes a sample to reveal some, but not all, of its components. Like a fingerprint smudged, it provides clues (chemical elements, properties) but may require additional techniques for a complete picture.

Ultrasonic thickness measurement

Ultrasonic thickness measurement uses sound waves to painlessly measure material depth. Like a bat finding its way, it sends high-pitched sound through the object, timing the echo to determine how thick it is. This helps assess corrosion, wear, and ensure safe operation of pipes, tanks, and more.

PWHT

PWHT, or Post-Weld Heat Treatment, strengthens welds by baking metal at high temperatures. Like a blacksmith tempering a sword, it relieves stress, improves toughness, and reduces cracking risks in critical welds for pipelines, boilers, and bridges.

Portable hardness tester

A portable hardness tester brings the anvil to the material. Like a jeweler testing a gem, it uses a compact device to measure a material's resistance to indentation, on-site, revealing its strength for quick quality checks.

Dye Penetrant Test

The Dye Penetrant Test exposes hidden cracks. Like a secret message revealed, colored dye seeps into surface flaws, then a developer draws it out, making them visible under light for inspection. This helps ensure welds, castings, and more are safe from hidden defects.

Visual Inspection

Visual inspection is the trusty eye on the line. Using sight and experience, trained inspectors check for damage, defects, or anomalies. It's the first line of defense, catching issues before they become big problems.

Eddy Current Testing

Eddy current testing uses a swirling current to sniff out flaws. Like a metal detector at the beach, it sends electricity through a coil, searching for metal imperfections that disrupt the current. This helps find cracks, corrosion, and thickness variations in pipes, tubing, and other conductors.

On-Site metellography

On-site Metallography is a non-destructive technique used to examine the microstructure of metals directly at the site without removing components. It helps identify material degradation, phase transformations, or manufacturing flaws, ensuring timely assessments for quality control and failure analysis.

Phased array ultrasonic testing(PAUT)

Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT) is an advanced NDT method that uses multiple ultrasonic elements and electronic time delays to steer, focus, and scan beams. It allows precise imaging of flaws in welds, metals, and composites, providing high-resolution data for critical inspections in industries like aerospace, oil & gas, and power generation.

Industries We Serve

From land to sky to sea, non-destructive testing is found in a vast range of industries all across
the globe. Some of there industries SKY NDT SERVICES.
